Specialized bikes are used not only by amateurs, but professionals as well. In last years, many riders used this kind of specialized bikes in the North American and European professional cycling circuits. Last year, for instance, Specialized was the bike supplier to Team Saxo Bank (a professional cycling team from Denmark) and Team Astana on the UCI Pro Tour. And, before that, Specialized supplied teams as Quick Step (a Belgian cycling team ) and Festina (former professional cycling team) and the abolished Team Gerolsteiner. Sam Hill, an Australian professional biker, rides for Team Monster Energy Specialized. And he rides it very well, since he is the world downhill champion. The well known company also sponsors the University of Georgia and Colorado State University Collegiate Cycling. In this year, there is a bond between Specialized and Team Columbia-HTC. With specialized mountain bikes, the success is assured, whether it’s for amateurs or professionals.
