Security Concerns
Living alone away from your family and country as a student in a different country to study abroad can be a scary thing. With immigration rates in leading education countries reach sky high natives have started becoming more and more bitter towards new people in the country. Make sure you have all contact details in check and carry basic security amenities like a torch, a basic pocket knife, pepper spray and most importantly names and numbers of people locally whom you can call in an emergency.
If you are living in a politically unstable area, make sure you carry your photo id proof at all times and are in touch with your country’s embassy. Be updated about the local news and be aware of what is happening around you. It might be exciting for political science of journalism students, but there is no point losing your life as a student. You would rather complete your study abroad and enter the field before you let your curiosity kill you.
